Photography by Henry Horenstein

Designed for beginning and intermediate Photography courses. This general curriculum text provides a thorough introduction to all the major topics of photography, including current practice and the latest technology. It balances general information with easy-to-understand directions on how to perform specific procedures and processes. It is a collaboration of these two well-known and experienced authors and ensures a comprehensive text with up-to-date detail on the practical application of the information. Additionally, it features a striking picture program with a contemporary look, the result of the design and illustrations and the selection of photographers whose images heavily support the text, and a perspective that provides insight into the future of the photographic process.
Henry Horenstein is a professional photographer, author, and educator. He has published more than thirty books, including monographs (Histories, Honky Tonk, Show, Animalia, Close Relations, Racing Days, Humans) as well as several widely used photography textbooks (Black and White Photography, Beyond Basic Photography, Digital Photography). His photographs have been widely collected and exhibited internationally. Henry lives in Boston and is professor of photography at Rhode Island School of Design.
