Poems for Young and Old by David Farren
This collection of poems is engaging, amusing and sometimes downright hilarious. An occasional dip into nonsense provides a wonderful distraction from everyday worries! I wrote this book So you could look To see what I had written, And that in a while You would smile And with its characters you’d be smitten.
David Farren was born in Ledbury, Herefordshire. He was the second of five children who grew up in Blackheath in London. David later settled in Kent with his wife and family. His earlier career was in Financial Services. He subsequently moved into supporting people with learning disabilities which, although less lucrative, he found personally more rewarding. With three children and six grandchildren, David draws inspiration for his poems from his observations of children's imaginations and other aspects of family life.
