Poetry: I Gave My Love A Red Red Nose by Gervase Phinn
A series of themed poetry books to support the National Literacy Strategy. Each title contains a range of poems including both modern and traditional poems by significant children's poets. The series is beautifully illustrated with full-colour photographs. I Gave My Love a Red, Red Nose is a collection of poems about love; the love between family members and friends, first loves, love of animals, food and other favourite things.
Poetry is Gervase Phinn's first love, though more recently he has also become a best-selling author of adult non-fiction. He is an ex HMI of schools and is very well known in educational circles and on the lecture circuit. He also writes regular columns for Child Education Magazine. Gervase lives in Doncaster, Yorkshire.
