Populism by Robert Alexander Huber

This textbook introduces state-of-the-art research in simple and accessible terms to make sense of populism as a major driving force of politics today. It is an essential companion for all undergraduate and postgraduate students interested in the empirical study of populism.
Robert A. Huber is a Professor of Political Science Methods at the Department of Political Science at the University of Salzburg. He holds a PhD from ETH Zurich (2018). Robert’s overarching research interest is exploring how globalisation presents new challenges to liberal democracy. To do so, he uses state-of-the-art methods to examine trade policy, climate and environmental politics, and populism. Robert has published in various journals, including the British Journal of Political Science, Comparative Political Studies, the European Journal of Political Research, and Political Analysis. Michael Jankowski is currently Team Lead for the Data Science group in the Federal German Chancellery. He previously worked as a postdoctoral researcher in political science at the University of Oldenburg, Germany where he also received his PhD in 2017. His work has been published in journals such as Political Analysis, European Journal of Political Research, and Party Politics.
