His research and teaching interests include systems engineering, energy, the engineering profession, servant leadership, and capstone course development, including multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary projects. He has over 45 years of industry experience and is the president of Trimble Consulting Inc. For the past six years, Abdelrahman N. Shuaib has been a professor of practice in mechanical and aerospace engineering at Arizona State University (ASU), developing and teaching capstone design and manufacturing courses. His teaching and research areas include manufacturing, materials science and engineering, mechanical design, and product design and development. Dr. Shuaib is a co-investigator in the Industrial Assessment Center at ASU, which is sponsored by Department of Energy. His professional experience includes more than 40 years in academia and five years in industry.
