Marcia McClintock Folsom is professor of literature at Wheelock College. She is the editor of the MLA's Approaches to Teaching Austen's Pride and Prejudice, to which she contributed an essay, Taking Different Positions. She coedited By Women: An Anthology of Literature (Houghton, 1976). She has published essays on Virginia Woolf, including one in the MLA's Approaches to Teaching Woolf's To the Lighthouse, and on Sarah Orne Jewett. Her current projects include writing about teaching and Austen's reading of Shakespeare.
