Queen Victoria by Kate Hubbard

Victoria was just 18 when she was crowned Queen in 1837 - a tiny figure, with a will of iron. Never was there so queenly a queen. She made Britain great and the people loved her for it.
"Great stories - entertaining but not patronising"* Financial Times *
I love these books
A stunning collection that my children love as much as I do ... Each has its own distinct style but all are highly charged dramas... * Observer *
Kate Hubbard's first book, a short life of Bess of Hardwick, was published in 2001, followed by three children's books - biographies of Charlotte Bronte and Queen Victoria and `Rubies in the Snow', the fictionalised diary of Anastasia Romanov. Her most recent book, `Serving Victoria' follows the lives of six members of the Queen's household. She also works as a book reviewer and freelance editor and lives in London and Dorset.
