Yet the novel has nothing eplicity to do with politics.
Christa Wolf (1929-2011) was a well-known German author throughout the twentieth century. Wolf is the author of many books, including The Hunt for Christa T., Patterns of Childhood, and Cassandra, and was a key player in East German literature and politics.
