It is also the story of Echlas, a severely disabled woman who shows tremendous strength and courage in her determination to maintain an independent and full life.
Alice Merrill has lived in a small Sussex town for the last 20 years, was a nurse for 43 years, latterly a Macmillan Nurse, and was widowed in 2007 after 35 years of happy marriage. She has two sons. Alice is committed to the Palestinian struggle for justice and is learning Arabic.
