
Jonathan Elphick, FZS, FLS, is an ornithologist and wildlife writer, editor, consultant, speaker, and broadcaster. He has written many publications during his nearly 40-year career, including The World of Birds and the award-winning Birdwatcher's Guide. He spent five years as a researcher on the popular bestseller Birds Britannica and was a researcher for Birds and People, the world's largest survey of cultural attitudes about birds. He is based in Exeter, England.
