Nigel Jenkins is a poet, a prize-winning prose writer, and editor of the UWP Welsh Encyclopaedia. He has written about the Gower, and the impact of the Welsh in India in the award-winning Khasia in Gwalia. He is currently a lecturer in English at the University of Swansea and is well-known and energetically active in Swansea's cultural life.
