Reasons to be Cheerful by Mark Steel
The memoirs of an activist of 25 years' standing. As a youngster Mark Steel was always politically aware, but when he wandered into the heat of battle during the Brixton Riots of 1981, he realized that his first experience of political violence can be as life-changing as losing one's virginity.
