Rebel Cook by Simon Rimmer
Forced to learn back-to-front, Simon Rimmer was soon producing some of the most innovative and critically acclaimed food in Manchester. Here, he brings us a selection of some of his favourite recipes. From inventions to twists on old favourites, his food is easy to prepare.
Simon Rimmer set up his restaurant 'Greens' in Manchester in 1992 with two recipe books and no formal training. Since then his restaurant has blossomed and received much critical acclaim -- it was recently voted best North West Restaurant of the Year. He is now enjoying great success as a TV chef, filming three new series for BBC1 (My Little Farmer Went to Market, Great British Menu, and To Buy or Not to Buy) as well as co-presenting Great Food Live for UKTV Food and his successful series for Granada, Grub's Up, now in its third series for ITV1. His first book, Accidental Vegetarian (Cassell Illustrated, 2004) has been a huge success.
