Robert Brustein was the founder of the Yale Repertory Theatre and the American Repertory Theatre, as well as the New Republic's theatre critic for nearly fifty years. He is the author of six plays, eleven adaptations, and sixteen books, including Yale University Press's The Theater of Rebellion and Millennial Stages: Essays and Reviews, 2001-2005. He resides in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
