The Ku Klux Klan, long quiet, capitalizes on this racial unrest. The Klan has been infiltrating the government for years, devising ways to permanently separate the races. The president of the United States is Klan, and he uses that power to his benefit. Under his government, the division of races is achieved. The president has forces that oppose him. The way he deals with those forces is efficient and swift.

Imagine - You are a wife in a mixed-race marriage with children. One day you are torn from your husband and your children because they will live in a different province.

Imagine - you are white and your best friend of 25 years, who is black, is no longer available to you. No contact ever again.

Imagine - Leaving your home or office to come out to a scene of chaos as the police pull people out into the streets, separating the population, destroying pictures of family and friends, burning your history books.

Three hundred years in the future, the divided provinces know nothing about the other-racial provinces. A young girl discovers the truth about her country's history. As she discovers more, she meets a Cherokee Indian, a Korean American, French Canadians, Blacks and Hispanics. With the help of her friends, she learns how to make the Divided States United again.
