Rip and Rap by Amanda White
Rip and Rap are twin sheep dogs, and they look exactly alike except for one extra strip on Rap's tail. But when Rip gets a mud stripe on his tail, it looks just like Rap's, and nobody in the farmyard can tell the two apart.
Amanda White was born and brought up in London, but recently moved to Cornwall, lured by the beauty of the surrounding countryside. Amanda has dedicated the book to her grandfather whose dog Rip was her childhood companion. Mother of two children (aged 2 and 4), Amanda works as part-time literary agent. She also spends much of her time writing and has worked on travel guides for TimeOut, as well as having had a collection of poetry published entitled Stepping on the Cracks (Flambard Press, 1999). This is her first book with Barefoot Books. Debbie Harter continues to attract a following from all over the world with her bold, funny and child-friendly images. She has illustrated a number of titles for Barefoot Books, among them the Bear series, Herb the Vegetarian Dragon (1-902283-99-6), Cooking With Herb, the Vegetarian Dragon (1-84148-040-1) and The Animal Boogie (1-84148-095-9). Debbie divides her time between London and Sydney, Australia.
