Rivers of Justice by Ruth Valerio
By exploring the biblical teaching on justice and then focusing on some contemporary issues (the environment, trade and debt, money and consumerism), this study helps us see these problems. It raises important and significant issues that touch our lives, which can create lively and thought-provoking discussions as well as raise further questions.
Environmentalist and theologian, social activist and author, Dr Ruth Valerio is the Director of Global Advocacy and Influencing at Tearfund. She was previously Churches and Theology Director at A Rocha UK, during which time she launched the Eco Church scheme. An in-demand speaker, she is the author of Just Living: Faith and community in an age of consumerism (Hodder: 2016) and L is for Lifestyle: Christian living that doesn't cost the earth (IVP, 2019). She lives with her family in the south of England and has a wealth of experience trying to practice what she preaches.
