The Road to Harry's Bar by G Haskell
Before he broke the all-time records for radio play previously held by The Beatles and Frank Sinatra with his 2001 single 'How Wonderful You Are', Gordon Haskell had worked behind the scenes with many musical greats. This book, a tribute to Gordon, is also a candid account of the double-dealing and sacrifice he encountered en route to the top.
"The story of a full life, a turbulent life, a life guided by passion and humility and warmth.. an absolutely absorbing and illuminating read" -- David Nobbs
