Steve has 16 years of experience working in the field of information technology. As an ethical hacker, Steve has worked with a number of well-known security firms. For a wide range of clients, Steve has discovered hundreds of previously unknown significant vulnerabilities in a wide range of products and applications. With clients in a wide range of sectors and government agencies, Steve has performed security assessments and penetration tests. He's done security evaluations for businesses in a variety of industries, including entertainment, oil, energy, pharmaceuticals, engineering, automotive, aerospace, insurance, computer and network security, medical, and financial & banking.

Steve has also conducted security evaluations for federal agencies including the Department of Interior, the Department of Treasury, the Department of Justice, and the Intelligence Community. As a result of Steve's discovery, the whole Department of the Interior has been isolated from the Internet. Prior to becoming a security consultant, Steve served as a System Administrator for the Departments of Defense, Treasury, and Justice, where he managed firewalls, UNIX systems, and databases. He formerly worked as an Electronics Technician in the US Navy for six years.

Steve has also written a number of security tools that have yet to be publicly released. In addition, Steve is a member of the FBI's Infragard program.
