Professor Rebecca Posner has been a Member of St Hugh's College and Professor of Romance Languages at the University of Oxford since 1978. In 1996, she was named Professor Emeritus. Professor of Romance Languages at the University of Ghana from 1963 to 1965; Reader in Language at the University of York from 1965 to 1978; Visiting Professor of Romance Philology at Columbia University from 1971 to 1972; and Visiting Senior Fellow at Princeton University from 1983 to 1985.
