Rose Elliot, MBE, was raised in a spiritual household. Grace Cooke, her grandmother, was White Eagle's medium and formed the White Eagle Lodge based on his teachings, which had a significant Buddhist element. Rose eventually grew interested in the teachings of a variety of New Age authors, particularly Louise Hay, Wayne Dyer, and Doreen Virtue. Rose once heard a Buddhist monk talk about the Four Noble Truths and how everything you need to know about Buddhism could be written on the back of a postcard... Her meditation practice, writing, and interest in Buddhism were all influenced by this.
