Rough Justice by Colin Falconer
A Yardie shooting and the rape and murder of a twelve-year-old girl appear to be two unrelated crimes. The notorious criminal, 'Capper', is quickly identified by a witness of the first killing, but Sgt Fox is having difficulties pinning the second on her prime suspect, a sleaze bag sweet shop owner known as 'The Candy Man'. Two investigations running different courses, until both The Candy Man and Capper are murdered - the word 'Justice' written in blood is found at both crime scenes. It begins to look like Fox will never have the evidence to prove that her boss, Marenko has taken justice into his own hands.
'A good read' -- Sunday Times on DISAPPEARED 'Full of strong characters, sympathetically written..the pace and tension are such that it is not easy to put down...I would recommend this book to anyone' -- Shot In The Dark on DISAPPEARED
