Elfrida Swann, a struggling portrait painter known to everyone as Freddie, is about to marry Alex Moncrieff, a successful barrister. Victoria Clayton published two children's novels when in her early twenties. She then read English at Cambridge as a mature student, married, and had two children before returning to writing fiction. RUNNING WILD is her fourth novel.
