This lift-the-flap picture book tells the story of Sam, a cat who loves the sun and wants to grow some big yellow sunflowers. Children can read about how he plants his seeds and watches them grow, and, by lifting the flaps, can see what is happening to the plant under the ground.
Kate Petty has spent many years working with children's books, both as an editor and successful author. She has written over 100 non-fiction books, including the highly inventive Great Grammar Book. Her books for Macmillan include Made With Love. Axel Scheffler is a star illustrator whose instantly recognisable, warm and witty illustrations have achieved worldwide acclaim and numerous awards.
