Sandy Fussell lives south of Sydney, Australia. She studied mathematics at university, is intensely interested in history and now works in IT. Samurai Kids: White Crane is her first novel. Rhian Nest James started working as a freelance illustrator in 1987 and has since illustrated over sixty children's books. Rhian moved to Sydney, Australia from her native Wales in 2002.
