Ellis Weiner was a National Lampoon editor and a Spy columnist. He's written for The New Yorker, The Paris Review, The New York Times Magazine, Air & Space, and Modern Humorist, among other magazines. He is the co-author (with Sydney Biddle Barrows) of Mayflower Manners and co-author (with Barbara Davilman) of Yiddish with Dick and Jane, The Joy of Worry (drawn by Roz Chast), Decade of the Year, Letters From Cicely, and The Northern Exposure Cookbook.Ellis Weiner and Barbara Davilman are publishing veterans who have authored numerous successful humor books, including Yiddish with Dick and Jane. Davilman is a reality television writer and producer. She currently resides in Los Angeles.
