Secret Namibia by Lily Jouve

A portrait of geological and other natural features of this wild country - Namibia. It offers an exploration of the terrain - from the geomorphological make-up to the best routes to follow and the finest places to stay. It features such places as Etosha National Park, Fish River Canyon, and Sandwich Harbor.
Marcel Jouve was born in Nimes, France, and trained as an engineer in agronomy. He worked for the Ministry of Environment in Paris for several years before joining the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He has lived and worked in Kenya, the Philippines and Namibia, and is currently based in Gabon. Lily Yousry-Jouve was born in Cairo, Egypt. She studied law before devoting her time to painting. While living in Namibia, she exhibited at the National Art Gallery of Namibia, in 2006, and the Omba Gallery, in 2007. She is also the author of two travel guidebooks, Philippines: Places with a Heart and Thailand: Places with a Heart, and contributed to the 2006, 2007 and 2008 editions of the Greenwood Guide to South Africa, Mozambique and Namibia, Handpicked Accommodation. Captivated by the poetry of the Namibian landscape, Marcel and Lily devoted all their leisure time to travelling the length and breadth of this stunning country to capture its essence in words and photographs.
