SCOTT BLACKWOOD was born and raised in Texas. In the Shadow of Our Home, an award-winning collection of short stories, was released by SMU Press in 2001. Blackwood is the recipient of a Dobie Paisano Fellowship, two Texas Commission on the Arts Fellowships, and two Pushcart Prize nominations. He is an Assistant Professor of English and the Director of Roosevelt University's MFA Creative Writing Program.
