He has maintained a private practice in marriage and family counseling for over 30 years and is currently the Director of the Office of Marriage & Family Life for the Catholic Diocese of Baton Rouge, LA. In addition, he has experience as a parish minister as well as a facilitator for couples' retreats and workshops.
John Gottman, Ph.D. has a Doctorate in Psychology and is the founder of the Gottman Relationship Institute which has conducted over 40 years of research with married couples to determine what works and what does not work in marriages.
