The Seventh Train by Jackie Carreira
The Seventh Train is a ride - a road movie on the railways. Its a journey that Elizabeth invented; the only original thought she has ever had in her previously uneventful life. Unbeknown to her, she is not travelling alone. If only shed pretended that the spare seat was taken.
Jackie Carreira is an award-winning author, playwright, and musician. British-born of Portuguese parents, she grew up in Hackney, East London, and spent part of her childhood in Lisbon’s Old Quarter. These vibrant and diverse cities and her working-class roots have often coloured her writing. Notebook Number Nine is Jackie’s third published novel with Troubador publishing. She currently lives in Suffolk.
