She Who Remembers by Linda Lay Shuler
In an ancient time of fear and superstition, she stood apart because of her unusual blue eyes. In a land of great stone cities and trackless wilderness, she sought her own unique path. But it was with the clan that accepted her -- and in the heart of the magic man who saved her -- that she found her ultimate destiny. Her name was Kwani. But legend would call her She Who Remembers.Linda Lay Shuler (1910-2011) was a clever, creative, and ambitious lady who lived in a different era. In the days when women were expected to stay at home and write and produce for radio, she won honors against corporate giants. She stepped directly into television, creating, producing, and directing travel documentaries for the Texas Highway Department, as well as writing and producing a traffic courthouse series and organizing radio/TV seminars. Her greatest achievement in the film industry was writing, directing, and producing a five-screen film, the first of its kind. It was displayed at the 1968 Hemisfair in San Antonio, sponsored by Humble Oil (Exxon), in a circular building built specifically for it. Her three novels, however, were undoubtedly her greatest enduring professional achievements.
