Sing Musical Theatre: Wouldnt It Be Loverly? by John Gardyne

Sing Musical Theatre: Wouldn't It Be Loverly? features fifteen musical theatre songs in a range of styles, both classic and contemporary with useful background and performance notes, handy singing tips and exercises, and backing track CD. Suitable for Trinity Guildhall Singing and Musical Theatre candidates Grades 1-3.

They provide complete support for the Trinity Guildhall Musical Theatre and Performance Arts candidates (and their teachers), which doesn’t specify particular items in the syllabusIt is of course, also very useful for anyone else who is looking for a well-presented repertoire collection…..Overall a very welcome addition for the libraries of those teaching in this area.

Singing Magazine (AOTOS) Summer 2012

....good to see a series of musical theatre and film music being put together with levels and grades in mind. There are songs for both boys and girls in each book, laid out with clear ideas for understanding the song, its context and technical issues which need to be worked on.

In summary, it’s great to see that more is being done to provide material for singing exams. In an ideal world even more would be made available to help reduce the pre-exam stress for teachers and students.
