The Slate Diaries by Michael Kinsley

Each week the editors of Slate, one of the first and best on-line literary magazines, ask a different person to keep a diary. The Slate Diaries is a selection of some of the best of those diaries.

Michael Kinsley is a well-known political analyst and journalist. He was one of The New Republic magazine's most successful editors. He was the host of CNN's Crossfire and the founder of Slate, the first online magazine in the United States. He has also written for The Guardian and The New Yorker and served as the editorial page editor for The Los Angeles Times. He contributes to Time magazine on a regular basis. Michael and his wife Patty Stonesifer, CEO of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, currently reside in Seattle, Washington.
