Mark Tully OBE has worked for the BBC since 1964, as BBC Representative in Delhi, Chief Commentator for South Asia for the World Service and as the BBC South Asia Correspondent. He is now a freelance broadcaster and writer and presented the BBC series Lives of Jesus. He has presented Radio 4's Something Understood for a number of years. In 1985 he received the Bafta Dimbleby Award and the Order of the British Empire.
