Son of Africa by Chris Hudson
Equiano travelled widely and settled in England, where the infamous Zong case led him to join the campaign against the slave trade. Describing his role, this book contains information about other aspects of the campaign, such as the activities of Wilberforce and Clarkson. It gives an account of the experiences of Equiano and other African victims.
Chris Hudson lives in Sutton Coldfield and teaches at a local primary school. He has written a number of books for schools and young people published by Bible Reading Fellowship and Church House Publishing, as well as RMEP.
