The Son Tay Raid by John Gargus

In May 1970, aerial photographs revealed what US military intelligence believed was a POW camp near the Son Tay town. They set in motion a plan to rescue the air-men thought to be held captive. On November 20, a joint group of volunteers executed the raid, only to find the prisoners' quarters empty. This book offers information on Son Tay raid.
JOHN GARGUS retired in 1983 from a thirty-year career in the U.S. Air Force. Having flown with various Special Operations units in Vietnam, Europe, and the United States, he has accrued more than 6,100 flight hours, including 381 combat hours in Southeast Asia. Inducted into the Air Commando Hall of Fame, Gargus currently lives in Henderson, Nevada.
