She lives in New York City. Amy Schwartz has illustrated forty children's books, half of which she also wrote. Among the honors her titles have received are a Christopher Award and being named a NEW YORK TIMES BOOK REVIEW Best Illustrated Children's Book of the Year. Her books have also been featured on the PBS series READING RAINBOW. She lives in Brooklyn.
