Sri Owen is a well-known Indonesian chef and food writer who has written a number of publications, including Indonesian and Thai Cooking, The Indonesian Kitchen, and The Rice Book, which won the André Simon Prize. Sri has established herself as one of the foremost food writers in the UK since the publication of her first book in 1976, and her unrivaled skill earned her the Guild of Food Writers Lifetime Achievement Award in 2017. She and her husband, Roger, live in London.
