St Paul Trail by Kate Clow
The St Paul Trail is Turkey's first long distance walking route, running for 500 km through the Taurus mountains north of Antalya. It was waymarked by volunteers and opened in 2004. The book is a full description of the route with background information on the history and culture of the area. It includes a full-colour topographical map.
Kate Clow moved to Turkey in 1989 and worked on computer sales in Istanbul. She began investigating walking routes in 1992, and in 1997 won an award from Garanti bank, which enabled her to open the first long distance walking route - the Lycian Way in 1999. The second route, St Paul Trail, was opened in 2004. Kate is now working on a second part of St Paul's route through Anatolia.
