Good organization is the key to successful staging and this handbook is concerned with the detail of staging a production. It concentrates on bringing together the different elements - scenery, costume, props, sound, lighting - to achieve effective and successful staging.
Francis Reid has been a professional lighting designer for over forty years. He was lighting director of Glyndebourne Festival Opera throughout the '60s and subsequently responsible for the lighting design of over 300 productions, including several in Paris, Amsterdam and Brussels, and over thirty in London. He lectures extensively around the world and has written numerous books on theatre design and technology.
