Stand By You by Tracy Lee Thompson

A tasteful love story that elegantly captures the essence of love and connection...

Set against the vibrant backdrop of the swinging sixties, the life of seventeen-year-old Connor Smith takes a dramatic turn when he meets Alice, a shy and reserved girl.

Their love starts to blossom, but their joy is abruptly shattered when Connor receives a draft notice to join the Vietnam War.

Despite the distance, Alice promises to wait for him, but when Connor returns, he is a changed man, bearing the physical and emotional scars of his experiences.

Determined to hold onto their love, Alice is willing to go to great lengths to win him back.

Stand By You is a poignant story of love, sacrifice, and resilience.

Will Connor be able to find redemption and reunite with the woman who holds his heart, or will the wounds of the past forever keep them apart?

Reader Review

Every page of this book is like a little surprise. This beautiful love story took me through a rollercoaster of feelings and emotions. The setting of the story being in the 1960s reminded me of all the struggles that were happening in the world at that point in history. But the beating heart of the story is the love between Connor and Alice. I admired Alice's resilience in not giving up on Connor, despite the hardships he had endured. In the end, the only thing that stands strong is the power of their love. This story is an absolute must-read. I cannot wait to grab the next book in the series. Without a doubt, five stars - Sofia Goodreads
