Start to Win by Eric Twiname
A sailing classic, this is the unequalled book on simple racing principles. Back in print by high demand, with a new design and updated artwork, there is nothing else that sets out the techniques of sailing in such a clear, understandable manner.
'..the book will continue to provide an excellent "grounding" to all potential dingy sailors and yachtsmen who wish for that winning streak...for youngsters who are keen on sail racing it is the only book worth considering.' The Nautical Magazine (2009) 'A book that has been re-published almost 30 years after its author's death because of its enduring regard among dinghy sailors...needs little reviewing.' Royal Naval Sailing Association Journal (Winter 2009) 'This classic is...set to help sailors achieve their racing best for many years to come.' Mainsail (Autumn 2009) 'packed with invaluable advice, hints and techniques...an essential read and is still a book you must have on your bookshelf.' Yachting World (April 2011)
Eric Twiname was an active dinghy sailor, a keen team racer and a Laser National Champion.
