He also translated Woods and Chalices by Tomaz Salamun and Smugglers by Ales Debeljak. For his poems and translations, he has earned various honors, including grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Howard Foundation, and the Slovenian Academy of Arts and Sciences.
