Spurgeon Vaughn Ratcliffe is an illustrator, fashion journalist, gallery curator, and designer. He created Achromat Gallery in Brighton in 2009, which served as a nexus for visual artists and fashion designers from Brighton's counter-culture movements to show and exchange ideas, after working at 291 Gallery, Kemistry, and International Art Consultants. Spurgeon attended the Norwich School of Art and, strangely, Sussex University, where he studied Visual Studies and German Philosophy.
