She's since worked with a variety of publishers, including The New York Times, The New York Sun, The Wall Street Journal, New York Newsday, Games magazine, Sterling Publishing, Random House/Times Books, People, Modern Maturity, Reader's Digest, Book of the Month Club, and the American Crossword Federation, developing, editing, proofreading, and fact-checking puzzles. Since 2001, Billig has worked as an editor for The Uptown Puzzle Club and Dell Crosswords. For the television game program Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, she developed and researched questions. Sterling published Billig's book Sit & Solve Cryptograms in March 2002.
