Sam's 'Happy Dog, Sad Dog' board book for Little Tiger Press was a BookTrust Choice selection and winner of the Sainsbury's Baby Book Award. 'Mr Pusskins', Sam's first picture book for Orchard, won the BookTrust Early Years Award for Best Pre-School Book, was a New York Times bestseller and was shortlisted for the V&A Illustration Award while another book in the same series, 'Mr Pusskins: Best In Show', won the Roald Dahl Funny Prize. Sam has also written and illustrated a number of monster-puppet-mouth books for Templar including the Richard and Judy prize-winning 'Calm Down, Boris', the Sheffield Baby Book award-winning 'You're Not So Scary, Sid!' and the Southampton Favourite Book to Share award-winning 'Hello, Dudley!'.
