Tales of Endearment by Natalie Joos
Tales of Endearment, a companion to the popular website, is a collection of photos and stories by Natalie Joos featuring today's Who's Who of vintage clothing. The men and women that buy, collect, wear and love vintage share one impartial passion: a common motivation to celebrate the past and its many inspiring fashions. Travelling to photograph them at their homes, or in other inspiring locations, wearing their favourite pieces, the result is a singular collection of yesterday's colours, shapes, prints and patterns that have been repeatedly passed on to become today's trends.Natalie Joos was born and reared in Belgium, but went to New York in 1997 to pursue a career in fashion. She began her career as a Personal Assistant to writer Glenn O'Brien, followed by six years as Studio Manager for acclaimed photographer Craig McDean, with a university degree in Political and Social Sciences and a major in Journalism. In 2003, Natalie established her own casting company. She acquired a clientele of high-profile fashion clients, magazines, and photographers over the next ten years. Natalie started Tales of Endearment, a blog about friends, vintage, love, style, and life, in 2010.
She invites her readers into the homes of vintage-loving ladies and men, as well as posting her own outfits to show off a current combination of contemporary and vintage fashion. Natalie has also become a sought-after influencer and a favorite of street-style photographers (she's noted for her whimsical use of colors and patterns). Natalie gradually transitioned from casting to styling and consulting. She writes for magazines and has overseen successful photo shoots for brands such as Chloe, Loewe, Max Mara, and Diane Von Furstenberg.
Natalie is a Los Angeles-based author whose debut novel is Tales of Endearment.
