ہر مسلمان کو اپنے دین کی پوری سمجھ بوجھ ہونی چاہیے۔ عوام کی دینی آگہی اور ایمانی تربیت کا سب سے اہم ذریعہ قرآن مجید ہے۔ وعظ، تقریریں، بیانات، اصلاحی کتابیں سب اپنی جگہ مفید ہیں لیکن ان میں سے کوئی چیز قرآن کا بدل نہیں ہو سکتی ہے۔ قرآن کریم کو ناظرہ پڑھا جائے، حفظ کیا جائے یا ترجمے اور تفسیر سے پڑھا جائے ہر طریقے کی اپنی اہمیت اور اپنا اپنا اجر ہے۔ ہر دور میں قرآن کے موزوں و مناسب ترجمے کی ضرورت و اہمیت محسوس کی گئی ہے اور مترجمین نے اس فریضہ کے ادائی کی طرف خصوصی دھیان دیا ہے۔ قرآن کا یہ اردو ترجمہ سید محمد مدنی اشرفی جیلانی کی ہی کتاب سید التفاسیر سے ماخوذ ہے اور چھ جِلدوں کے ذریعے پیش کیا جا رہا ہے۔
