She is currently Professor of Nursing and Executive Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at Indiana University School of Nursing in Indianapolis, a position she has held since 2004. She is known for her expertise in curriculum development and online education. Dr. Halstead was inducted as a fellow in the NLN Academy of Nursing Education in 2007.
