Teen Angels by Sacha Baveystock

Be aware of the changes your teenager is going through. Understand your own reactions and your relationship with your teenager. Learn how to read teenagers' behaviour so you know how to react. Develop strategies to help your teenager get what she wants in less destructive ways. Recognize the issues you can influence and those where you need to take a step back. Create a supportive environment to help you and your teenager maintain a strong relationship. The teenage years are a time of enormous upheaval as adolescents are poised between childhood and adulthood. Drawing on the life-changing techniques of the BBC TV Series Teen Terrors to Teen Angels, Dr Stephen Briers and Sacha Baveystock highlight the difficulties you may be facing with your teenager. They outline positive routes to overcome issues and transform your relationship with your teenager. Most importantly they show you which problems you can do something about and where to draw the line with those you cannot.

Dr Stephen Briers is a chartered clinical psychologist. He has helped numerous families in the TV series Little Angels and Teen Tearaways to Teen Angels. In his clinical practice in Brighton he works with both young people and adults. He has two children of his own.

Sacha Baveystock is Executive Producer of Little Angels and Teen Tearaways to Teen Angels. She has been a producer for BBC Science for 10 years, working across science and medical strands. She has three children of her own.
